Wikipedia lists this as one of Borodin's best–known works – along with "his symphonies, his two string quartets ... and his opera Prince Igor.
The symphonies were three in number. The third was left unfinished at the time of Borodin's death, and was completed by Alexander Glazunov (as was the opera, Prince Igor).
